WORK IN PROGRESS August 3rd 2007

Boy have we got some news this update. First up: New website!

With AIX full swing into testing we decided to launch a brand new website for our upcoming release! We hope you'll find a more organised and natural layout to discovering everything you need to know about the mod. AIX has many new features and tonnes of content and as always is 100% single player and coop compatible! :) Please excuse the dust as the site is still being constructed at the moment.

Now for our 2nd bit of great news. Up until now we've always made it publicly known that AIX is an eXtension to Allied Intent and because of this, AIX would require the player to install Allied Intent first, and then AIX second. Well it's my great pleasure to announce that AIX will now be a stand-alone mod! Retired Allied Intent mod leader keithw gave us permission to release AIX as a stand-alone to save the players all the trouble of installing 2 mods. So thanks Korben for allowing us to do this and come release time we expect things to run much more smoothly. :)

Thirdly, we have some new content to show everyone! Dasroach has a brilliant new map called Refinery with custom statics by kysterama. This sprawling map is set around a land accessable oil refinery and also includes urban, hilly and factory areas. The 16 player size offers intense infantry fighting focussed on the refinery itself, a 32 layer size based in the urban city area and of course the 64 size encompassing the whole map. We also have a new Heckler and Koch g36k with grenade launcher rifle by Caliber_k and textures by kysterama. Velocity has been hard at work completing content as well with the anti-air pickup kits which include the Fim92a and the Strela2 as well as a surprise new Glock pistol! We also thought it might be cool to include our "handweapon recognition guide" which is a cool way to see all the AIX handweapons in one place. :)
